Collection Specialist

Collection Specialist (Remote) We are looking for a Collection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting customers regarding outstanding balances, assisting with payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records of collection activities. Responsibilities Contact customers by phone, email, or other communication channels regarding outstanding payments. * Follow up on overdue accounts and assist customers with payment arrangements. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities. * Handle customer questions and concerns professionally. * Negotiate payment plans when appropriate and within company guidelines. * Monitor assigned accounts and follow up on promised payments. * Escalate difficult or unresolved accounts to the appropriate team. * Maintain confidentiality of customer and account information. * Meet assigned collection and performance goals. Requirements Previous experience in collections, customer service, call center, or a related role is preferred. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Good negotiation and problem-solving skills. * Professional and confident phone manner. * Ability to handle difficult conversations calmly and professionally. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Comfortable working with computers and basic office software. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
