Role Type: Full-time Engagement: Independent Contractor Job Summary We are looking for an experienced CMS Developer with hands-on expertise in Wix, WordPress, and/or Shopify to join one of our clients remotely. In this role, you will build, customize, maintain, and optimize websites using modern content management systems and e-commerce platforms. You'll work closely with designers, marketers, and other team members to turn designs and business requirements into responsive, high-performing websites. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented web developer who is comfortable managing CMS-based websites independently and enjoys combining technical development with strong visual execution. Key Responsibilities Build, customize, and maintain websites using Wix, WordPress, and/or Shopify Convert designs and mockups into responsive, functional web pages Customize themes, templates, layouts, and CMS functionality Implement website updates, landing pages, forms, integrations, and new features Troubleshoot and resolve technical, layout, and compatibility issues Optimize websites for speed, mobile responsiveness, usability, and SEO Install, configure, and maintain plugins, apps, and third-party integrations Manage website content and ensure consistency across pages Perform ongoing website maintenance, updates, testing, and quality assurance Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects accurately and on time Follow web development best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability Requirements Proven professional experience as a CMS Developer, Web Developer, WordPress Developer, Shopify Developer, or Wix Developer Strong hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Wix, WordPress, or Shopify Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS Familiarity with JavaScript and basic front-end development principles Experience customizing CMS themes, templates, plugins, or applications Understanding of responsive and mobile-first web development Familiarity with website performance optimization and SEO best practices Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately implement designs Ability to manage multiple website tasks and deadlines independently Strong written and verbal English communication skills Reliable internet connection and ability to work effectively in a remote environment A portfolio or examples of websites you have built or maintained Nice to Have Experience across multiple platforms, particularly WordPress, Shopify, and Wix Experience with page builders such as Elementor or similar tools Knowledge of Shopify Liquid Experience with Wix Studio or Velo Familiarity with Figma and translating designs into live websites Experience working with digital agencies, SaaS companies, startups, or e-commerce businesses Knowledge of analytics, conversion tracking, and marketing integrations Benefits 💰 Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. 🌎 Fully remote opportunity with an international company. 💻 Work on meaningful WordPress development projects with real ownership and impact. 🚀 Join a collaborative, high-performing team with opportunities to grow your technical expertise. 📈 Long-term career growth and professional development opportunities.
